about

This project represented a leading precedent for our Office, as it involved factors, constraints, and great challenges in how to develop an existing building (previously Shikorel) to become the main branch of the Bank. This attitude necessitated our respect for the existing building, besides tackling cautiously the origin. A foyer was created at the entrance, as well as modifying all facades to carry the same features adopted by our Office throughout its dealings with the Bank in all its projects. This was achieved by developing details and remodeling them by using new materials and shapes that conform to these materials. The building emerged to existence to form one of the outstanding landmarks downtown in one of the most important axes of Cairo City (26th July St. near Opera Square).
